The frequency rate of the Passeur is adapted to the number of visitors on the site: no need to check a timetable, it runs non-stop.
Furthermore, in case the number of visitors is high, additional buses are put in service: visitors can use them free of charge.
When the Passeur doesn’t run – between 1am and 8am – a replacement shuttle is available: the Montoise.

The Passeur, a unique technical innovation, accessible to everyone
In order to be perfectly integrated in the landscape and the new access infrastructure to the Mont, the Passeur is a reversible vehicle with two driving stations. A control system specific to reversibility has been developed in order for the Passeur to work in exactly the same way in both directions.
Designed to fulfil the highest environmental and security standards, the Passeur is a paragon of innovation at the service of a magnificent site listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
In order to learn more about the technical characteristics of the Passeur, please see our brochure “ the Mont Saint-Michel shuttles” in the Downloads section.
Furthermore, the Passeur is accessible to mobility impaired persons with any type of disability. This is translated through the implementation of access ramps positioned at every door, two spaces reserved for wheelchair users, six spaces reserved for mobility impaired persons and an audio and visual aid inside the vehicle throughout the entire duration of the journey.
